South Tampa family law firm is seeking a confident Junior Paralegal to join its busy team. This position supports the team’s paralegals and delivers high-quality service to clients, exhibiting a commitment to integrity and excellence. Candidates for the role must know law firm litigation processes, procedures, and information technology systems. The scope of responsibilities includes tracking and maintaining case-related dates and information; assisting with drafting, proofreading, editing, and filing court documents; and assisting with pre, during, and post-trial preparations.

Essential Functions
- Experience working in a small to mid-sized firm.
- Working knowledge of the rules of procedure governing family law in state courts, including experience filing pleadings with the court in compliance with court requirements.
- Under the direction of the paralegal or attorney, develop draft pleadings, organize service of process, draft witness and exhibit lists, and assist in discovery.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to work with clients, courts, judicial assistants, opposing counsel, and other professionals related to our cases.
- Experience with eFiling.
- Assist with trial preparation, including the readiness of courtrooms and attendance at trials.
- Experience tracking and billing professional time to client files.
- Manage electronic and paper case files.

Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Must have an associate degree in paralegal or legal studies or a paralegal certificate.
- Must have a minimum of one to three years of law firm experience, preferably as a family law or litigation paralegal.
- Experience working with multiple attorneys is required.
- Knowledge Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and time constraints.
- Ability to effectively balance assignments and workflow from multiple attorneys.
- The ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities and high volume is crucial.
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through are required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including extensive knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and experience working with law firm case management and billing software required. Knowledge of MyCase, Docusign, and Apple computers is a plus.
- Work in collaboration within a group and individually to ensure that clients are satisfied, including the desire to understand client concerns and build trust.
Other Information
- Usual work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with a thirty-minute lunch. Overtime work may be required from time to time.
