Downtown Tampa boutique law firm is seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Litigation Paralegal to work with a busy litigation team. The ideal candidate will have the working knowledge of federal court rules and local rules. Be responsible for calendaring deadlines, saving pleadings in the document management system (Trialworks and/or Worldox), sending out client copies via email, entering attorney time, emailing billing statements, taking payments on account, assisting with management of collections for AR reports for each attorney, preparing documents for filing (ensuring that they are formatted correctly, there are no spelling or clerical errors, and that the case service list is accurate), mailing service copies as needed, organization of paper files for hearing, deposition, mediation, and trial. Responding to telephone calls, emails, and other tasks assigned by the department. This position will support the entire department to assist in any and all ways that are needed. Must know how to use the court e-filing, CM/ECF, Pacer, JAWS, JACS, and any other court program for uploading proposed orders, scheduling hearings, or providing documents in advance of a hearing pursuant to judicial preferences and local rules. Able to work independently while being part of a team environment. Proactive in getting tasks accomplished. Able to work under pressure for time-sensitive deadlines. Salary is DOE, firm provides benefits and stipend for monthly parking.
